PHYSIOTHERAPY
What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy utilizes a combination of mobilization and strengthening techniques to prevent and rehabilitate areas of injury, disease, or disability.
During the course of your treatment, your physiotherapist will create a customized plan to address the root cause of your pain, involving a combination of in-patient therapy and home care (e.g. stretches and strengthening exercises).
The goal of physiotherapy is to restore movement and function to an affected area, and your physiotherapist may utilize any combination of tools to support and enhance your therapy, including:
Soft-tissue mobilization
Taping
Dry Needling
Acupuncture
Class IV Laser therapy
Shockwave therapy
Pilates
Patients who have been recently injured, struggle with chronic pain, and/or are preparing or recovering from surgery should consider physiotherapy as part of their pain prevention, management, and treatment plans.
Our physiotherapists are happy to provide a complimentary phone assessment to discuss whether physiotherapy is right for you, or to provide a 60 minute, in-clinic assessment to advise you on the best clinical plan for your treatment.
